Have to Believe Before You See (Week 25,26, &27)

Hello Everyone,
 Wk. 25
Sorry for the long time in between emails,  but our P-day was changed to Thursday from Monday, because we had the amazing opportunity to attend the temple! It felt really good being able to attend the temple again and be refueled with the Spirit of the Lord. I did not get to go last transfer. The temple is the House of the Lord and it is a miracle to have so many all over the world, the meaning of the temple and all of the things we can do for our ancestors is just so amazing and brings a lot of comfort and peace to me!

Elder Maddock and I at the Temple

We also attended zone conference on Tuesday.  That was really good,  I was able to learn a lot of new things and it is always great to gather as a zone to learn and grow together. Elder Maddock and I bought a dozen doughnuts from Krispy Kreme and we finished the whole box within 30 minutes between the 2 of us. Lets just say that has been the most doughnuts I have eaten in a sitting and it made me not feel the greatest ha ha, but it tasted so good!  With winter coming It has been getting cold, but not too bad. The next time I will be able to email is on Tuesday because Monday the 12th is the Queen's birthday and it is a public holiday. I have been doing great and I feel great and at peace, Jesus Christ is the reason for it and He is the reason I can actually progress in my life and grow and have comfort within myself! I love being able to turn to the Lord and Jesus Christ for love and support constantly and I know that we can all receive this same love and support, all we need to do is ask sincerely in prayer.  I hope you all have a great week and I love you all!!!!!!!

 Wk. 26
Well it is already P-day again! It has been a very busy week or weekend I should say! We had an appointment with a potential investigator and when we arrived there was someone else there! I was thinking that this person was the investigator that we were supposed to teach and when we were about to go up and teach him the actual person arrived with his friend. We ended up teaching three people in one lesson! None of them had a belief in God, but they all wanted to learn more about God! It was a great lesson and opportunity to teach them.  I am used to only teaching one person at a time, so I felt exhausted after the lesson, but it was fun! Last night I attended Family Home evening at the city branch (It has been a while since I last attended) and it was great! They talked about our true Identity which is great for potential investigators.  We played a really fun game of reverse charades! So what you do is you have two teams and someone writes a list of words on the board then one person is chosen and doesn't see the words and the rest of the team acts it out instead of the one person who was chosen.  That one person has to guess the words being acted out and the first team to guess all the words listed wins that round! Our team won and it was a lot of fun and a great idea! Other than that it has been a busy weekend and church was great as always. I love being able to partake of the Sacrament weekly and renew my covenants with God and to receive a remission of my sins, and to have a clear and focused mind for the week. We had the opportunity to teach an investigator this week about faith. One thing I realized is that faith doesn't come out of nowhere.  The first step to developing faith in Jesus Christ and God is to be humble.  Many people struggle with faith because they aren't humble enough to develop it. When we are humble enough we are teachable and we are able to grow and develop ourselves! And always remember, do not listen to the world about seeing is believing, because if you live that way you will never be able to find out if God is really there.  It will never compel you to act to find out! But a valuable quote that has stuck with me is  "you have to believe before you can see ":) I hope you all have a fantastic week and I love you all!!!

Wk. 27

Well just like in most of my emails I don't understand where the time has gone! It is going by so fast it is already week 5 of the transfer! Elder Maddock and I spent the week finding and teaching our current investigators, who are just amazing children of God! The weather has been nice, pretty warm during the day and cold at night! My allergies started to bother me, but I feel a lot better today. Just a runny nose and a little sore throat, that was the worst ha ha!  Today we had a district P-day and we went on a hike at West Island Morialta Conservation Park. It was great. reminded me of hiking back at home, except with more trees, a lot more trees!  Unfortunately, we didn't see any Koala Bears this time, but I took a lot of pictures. I know my parents will be very happy this week, I think I took around 90.  I will try to send as much as I can today!
I also want to wish all of the father's a Happy Fathers Day! I especially want to say Happy Fathers Day to my father who is the best dad in the world! He has been such a great example to me. He has always been there to teach and support me in my life. Especially as I got older and went through sports and high school.  I appreciate it so much and I love him very much!  I hope you all have a great week.  I hope you all enjoy the pictures. I know it has been 7 months since I have sent like real pictures, so it will be good ! I Love You all :)
